The country's second largest automaker,Hyundai India, launched the new Elite i20 and Hyundai Xcent in 2014, and will bring in at least 5 - 6 new and facelifted products by 2016. Along with updating its existing line-up, the company will also foray in to some new segments, including the hatchback crossover and compact SUV segments.

After the successful launch of the new i20 in India, Hyundai is planning to bring in the crossover version of the hatchback - the i20 Crossover. It will be the first ever crossover from the Korean carmaker in India. Just so you know, the company has already started testing the vehicle in India.
Sharing the platform and features with the i20, the new crossover is also likely to get the same engine options i.e. a 1.2-litre Kappa2 petrol and a 1.4-litre CRDi diesel. To give it a crossover-like stance, the company will offer bigger alloys and additional body cladding all over the body among other changes in the front and rear. The crossover will also get a more feature-rich cabin.

First showcased as a concept at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, the Hyundai ix25 is definitely one of the most-anticipated SUVs in India. The company recently unveiled its production version at the 2014 Guangzhou Auto Show, and it looked quite similar to the concept.
Based on Hyundai's popular 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy, the ix25 shares its design cues with the Santa Fe. Hyundai Verna facelift
Ever since its launch, the Verna has always been among Hyundai's top-selling cars. The car was, in fact, leading the mid-sized saloon segment till the new-gen Honda City came along. Now that Verna is also facing competition from Ciaz, it has become pertinent for Hyundai to bring in the updated model of the car. The Korean carmaker has already launched the updated Verna in Russia, and we eagerly await its arrival in India. Just like its Russian counterpart, the Indian model will also feature the Fluidic 2.0 design philosophy.
The updated Verna is expected to get some exterior modifications like an aggressive front fascia with larger head-lamps, new fog-lamps, revised bumper with LED daytime running lights, dual-slat chrome grille, etc.. The cabin, however, will remain largely unchanged. The updated saloon will continue to be offered with two petrol (1.4-litre & 1.6-litre) and two diesel (1.4-litre & 1.6-litre) engines.

New Hyundai Sonata
Unveiled at the 2014 New York Auto Show, the new Hyundai Sonata features some significant exterior and interior tweaks. Much like its other upcoming products, the 2015 Sonata will also be based on Hyundai's evolved 'Fluidic Sculpture 2.0' design philosophy and will be slightly longer and wider than the existing version. The front fascia of the saloon is revised; it gets a hexagonal grille inspired by the Genesis concept, new head-lamps and bumper. The re-designed tail-lamps, trunk lid, alloy-wheel designs and new colour options add more to its sporty appearance.
With the use of high-strength steel, the new Sonata is more robust and solid than its existing sibling. Features like a larger centre console, fully-digital instrument cluster with a configurable TFT screen mounted between the gauges and more conveniently placed switchgear, make its cabin lot more up-market. The new Sonata will be offered with two engine options - a 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder and 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine.

New Hyundai Elantra
Hyundai's premium saloon, Elantra, will also get an upgrade, and will be launched in 2016. The updated model is expected to be based on the company's latest design philosophy, though no information about it has been revealed yet. If reports are to be believed, the front fascia of the saloon might take its inspiration from the Genesis concept, featuring a hexagonal chrome grille, leaner head-lamps with daytime running lights and LED tail-lights.
The new Elantra is expected to continue with the same pair of engines that power the existing model. For better handling and driving dynamics, Hyundai might tune its suspension setup.
